Abstract
An aseismic system using vibration isolation rubbers is proposed to reduce seismic responses and vibrations of diesel generators (DG). About 20Hz is considered as natural frequency of the DG supported by the aseismic system. This paper presents an experimental study for evaluating vibration isolation performances of the vibration isolation rubbers in high frequency range. Vibration tests using test model composed of steel weights and 2 isolation rubbers are performed. Effects of compression stresses and response deformations of the vibration isolation rubber on acceleration transfer functions and damping ratio of the test model and dynamical spring constants of the vibration isolation rubber are evaluated.
