Abstract
The effects of vibration suppression of a shear-type, moment-type and shear and moment-type dynamic vibration absorbers to a simply supported beam are discussed theoretically and experimentally. The dynamic vibration absorbers are composed of a mass and a three-layered cantilever beam using copper plates and viscoelastic material.
