Abstract
We have developed Design Support Navigator. This support system is provided for machine elements design at the planning phase. That is, the system is usable to help basic design of machine elements using calculation tools and know-how database. We carried out a questionnaire survey about this system for some design persons in charges. This aim is promotion of education and design work for young engineering. As a result, it becomes clear that a popular design procedure and concrete design examples are demanded. We show an example that applied this tool to design screw fastening.
