Abstract
This study evaluates the response performance of the motorcycle with the rider control model. The effects of the rider control model gains on the response performance of the motorcycle-rider system are examined by computer simulation. The lateral displacement gain rarely affects the response performance if the gains on the yawing and rolling angles are moderate values. If either the yawing or rolling angle gain is small, the weak directional or attitude stability causes the less damping response. On the other hand, if either gain is large, the coupled oscillation of the yawing and rolling angles is occurred.
