Abstract
Currently C02 emission is a serious concern because of its contribution to global warming New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has organized several research and development projects for autonomous driving and platooning using heavy duty vehicles, such as the Energy ITS research project Autonomous driving and platooning reduces fuel consumption by decreasing of the air drag In the case of autonomous driving and platooning, we need to design a control system to control a vehicle behavior. In this study, we have constructed a steering model with circumstantial stiffness of on-centered steering which is decreased at neutral region Using full vehicle model, it is shown that this model has good expression for the vehicle behavior of heavy duty vehicles
