Abstract
Cold roll bonding is one of the methods to make clad materials. This bonding method requires heavy rolling force and removing oxide film layer on the surface of materials. Preprocessing of differential speed roll bonding is usually brushing. This study aimed to develop a new shaving equipment to add in the differential speed roll bonding machine in order to achieve more efficient rolling with bonding and make clad materials with higher bonding strength. In the experiment using new shaving equipments, relationship between surface condition and bonding strength was explained. As a result, it was shown that bondeing after shaving had advantage over bonding after brushing.
