Abstract
A concept of air borne wind energy is introduced among a variety of ideas employed with baloon, aircraft, kite and glider which are developing in the world recently. The present concept is to place a straight blades type windmill over the wind canopy of urban aerea with steady and strong wind employed with an inflatable aircraft, a hibrid of kite and baloon. Generator with heavy weight is placed on the ground and the power obtained by the air borne windmill is transferred to the generator on the ground through tether system. A series of the roadmap is introduced and some experimental results in the course of the phases are shown towards a practical air borne wind energy generation expected to be several kilo-watts electric generating system.
