Abstract
The efficient machining of workpieces with a complicated shape has being increased in terms of realizing the products with compact design and sufficient functionality. 5-axis control machining is suitable to meet such a requirement since it can cope with machining these workpieces without removing them. At the time, it is very important to rapidly generate interference-free tool path. Thus, the study deals with 5-axis control tool path generation to machine such complicated workpieces on the basis of the area division method, where the interference area is divided into small areas. The validity of the method is demonstrated with simulated results.
