Abstract
Direct numerical simulation was performed for a spatially advanced turbulent flow in a two-dimensional curved channel. In the past research, the influence of radius ratio was not discussed. Therefore, the radius ratio of the curved part, a=0.92, the same as Kobayashi et al.'s experiment, and 0.8 were calculated. Then, we carried out simulations of the temperature condition where two walls were sustained at different temperatures. Prandtl number was assumed to be 0.71. Analogy between the friction factor and the Stanton number was confirmed through computed cases. Turbulence statistics including the turbulent heat flux budgets were presented and discussed.
