Abstract
In this paper, we estimated the applicability of an anisotropic h)perelastic model to the fabric of a competition swimwear. Thefabric of a competition swimwear consists of chemical fiber. The fabric shows anisotropy that depends on fiber orientation angle. Weused the model as the anisotropic hyperelastic model which was able to a(ljust axial and share stiffness. The material parameters ofthe anisotropic hyperelastic model for the finite element analysis were determined by uniaxial tensile loading tests of the fabric. Inorder to show the applicability of the anisotropic hyperelastic model, Finite element analysis of tensile loading tests were conducted. As a result, we clarified the mechanical characteristic of the fabric of the competition swimwear by loading test results. The materialconsisting of a textile has orthotropy. In addition, we showed that the mechanical characteristic of the fabric of the competitionswimwear could be reproduced by the anisotropic hyperelastic model.
