Abstract
The combination of "questionnaire" and short questions perhaps effects on learning attitudes of students who began to study mechanical engineering. The averaged score of examination was improved when the method was tested in a class. In this method, the aim of questionnaire is to make students read the educational messages, and the questionnaire contains a few same questions students had solved before. The trial using the combination of questionnaires and short questions aims at improvement of the learning attitude, because any lecture is useless when student cannot study by himself. One of the examples is one question about integration. The question requires determination of the equation that denotes presented area. Study of mechanical engineering sometimes requires comprehension of integral. However, many students cannot solve the question. Such students who could not have answered correctly in the second chance could not answer correctly even one year later. The questionnaires such students answered show the tendency such students had not studied.
