Abstract
This paper describes my view point of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) as being a bridge between industries and educational institutions along with my experience of working as a researcher in an automobile industry, as well as in university. For automobile industry, CAE plays a role of predicting quality and characteristic of designed objects before conducting tests, whereas universities introduce and discuss theoretical concept and usage regarding designing and analysis by CAE in the capacity as researches and educations. By having experiences from both sides, CAE's roles will be explained.
