Abstract
As the polyhedron based spherical motor shows spherically symmetric performances, the application area of the polyhedron based spherical motor is very wide. There are a lot of pairings of the polyhedrons. Among them, the pairs of polyhedrons suitable for the structures of the polyhedron based spherical motors are selected and proposed in the previous paper. In this paper, new structures of the polyhedron based spherical motors are proposed. The number of candidates of the pair of polyhedron is increased by the proposed structure. In the proposed new structure, the permanent magnets are attached on the rotor at not only the vertexes of the polyhedrons inscribed in the rotor but also the divided points of the edges of the polyhedrons. In a similar way, the armature coils are attached on the stator at the vertexes and the divided points of the polyhedrons inscribed in the stator.
