Abstract
Plastic ankle foot orthosis(PAFO) is used as a useful aid to assist gait activities for the disabled with gait disorder by cerebrovascular accident However, such equipment has been formulated based on the rule of thumb of a doctor, the clear formulation by symptom criteria has not been established Previous studies have not been able to accurately measure the brace while walking The brace using 6-axis force sensor was attached to the plastic ankle foot orthosis to analyze the state when the load applied to the brace to walk Changes in the mechanical state by trimming a portion of the plastic ankle foot orthosis were examined, and the relationship between the degree of change of state and mechanical trimming was discussed As a place for trimming, processing was carried out of the bottom side of the front section and the calf of the leg brace As a result, the measurement in the trimming of the calf had little difference, however the load applied to the front section of sole of the foot orthosis was greatly reduced
