Abstract
This paper presents an experimental study of a flow field and downstream film cooling performance of cylindrical hole with and without device. The measurement of wall temperature was carried out by the infrared camera LES approach was applied for observation of a flow field. This investigation was conducted by varying blowing ratio (BR=0.5 and BR= 1.0). In the case of BR=0.5, since the complicated vortex structure exists in the 2D Device case, secondary air is diffused in the spanwise direction by the device. However, mixing of the mainstream and secondary air is promoted. In the case of 2D Device BR=1.0, the film effectiveness is higher than the BASE case.
