Abstract
Tension-tension fatigue tests were performed to examine the influence of the layer number on the fatigue properties of Ti-6A1-4V alloy with Cr/CrN multi-layer film. The multi-layered films were deposited by arc ion plating method. As a result, the fatigue strength of the specimens with the multi-layered film was clearly higher than that of the specimen with mono layer film. However, the influence of the layer number was little.
