The purpose is this study is to reduce a curtain rail noise which cause noise problem with neighbors. The measurement system is designed in order to evaluate the curtain rail noise, which used motor and belt pulling structure. In the experiment, equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level and frequency characteristic are measured. The curtain rail materials and the runner types are examined, these are products on the market. Experimental results show that the silent type runner could be reduced about 15dBA of curtain rail runner. The curtain rail noise was increased with runner speed, and that was particular in the high frequency band.
