Abstract

The large-scale shaking table at national research institute for earthquake science and disaster prevention has been established in 1970, and has been passed approximately 25 years from late renewal. This paper describes a result for assessing the deterioration condition of performance on basis of verification tests. As the tests using sinusoidal waves, hydrostatic bearings can be measured the weight of movable load which is on the shaking table, and that located the center of the shacking table are supported a great deal of weight. The reproducibility can be confirmed by test results using observation waves at the 1940 Imperial Valley earthquake. The comparison results as acceleration time history measured between late renewal and on time seems good agreement.
