Abstract

Many kinds of human motion assist robots such as power-assist exoskeletons have been developed up to the present. They are expected to make to human activities easier in many fields such as industry, agriculture, rehabilitation, daily living, etc. In this paper, the current state of motion assist robots is explained. Especially, motion assist robots for physically weak persons such as elderly persons or disabled persons are focused. Furthermore, the future direction of the motion assist robots is discussed. These robotic technologies would be important to make our life better.
