A Dielectric-Barrier-Discharge(DBD) plasma actuator is a promising flow control device. The plasma actuator has simple structure and can be electrically controlled by the voltage and frequency of the discharge. As one of applications, that is expected as the device to reduce aerodynamic noise. However, the plasma actuator emits the discharge-noise by itself in actuating. The noise from the plasma actuator should be decreased in order to enhance effect of aerodynamic noise reduction. In this study, the noise-cancelling method was applied to decrease the discharge-noise from the actuator. The effect by the noise-cancelling method was evaluated by using a microphone. The results were reported in this paper.
