Abstract

In this study we carried out a questionnaire survey. We asked research and development (R&D) personnel who have worked at private companies in Japan to evaluate how the outcome of university/PRI contributes to their R&D. Particularly, we asked them about their experiences in private companies at which they had invented most actively. We suppose that R&D personnel who have worked at private companies can evaluate the impact of science because they access to the outcomes of scientific research for R&D activities in their companies. The result shows us re-evaluation of the impact of science on socio-economy from the viewpoints of industries.
