In recent years, lightweight heat sinks with high heat dissipation manufactured by die-casting are in demand. We previously achieved thinning of heat sink by die casting process of Al-25%Si alloy. However, the crystallization surface of primary Si of the heat sink surface and it affect anodizing. This study is to find efficient ways to attenuate the crystallization surface of primary Si of the heat sink surface. We cast test pieces of spiral die by Al-25%Si alloy and conducted experiments on how various cast conditions affect the thickness of the crystallization surface of primary Si. The results showed the crystallization surface of primary Si was attenuated by thinning cavity and lowering the injection start temperature.
