In almost all of the sliding contacts, the sliding velocity is extremely smaller than Rayleigh wave and Secondary wave velocities in the objects. On the other hand, when F1 car brakes suddenly, we can assume the situation that the sliding velocity exceeds the wave velocities in the tires due to their small elasticity. Therefore, in this study, we used a silicone gel and made experimental system. As a result of sliding contact experiment, it was found that the friction coefficient suddenly became big when sliding velocity exceeded the wave velocities. In addition, we succeeded in confirming the deformation of the gel and the change of the pressure distribution.
