This study addresses the motion analysis of the attitude of a stratospheric balloon system. Utilization of stratospheric balloons is strong method for various scientific missions and demonstrations of innovative technologies. Some of the balloon missions demands attitude control of the gondola – the carrier structure of the mission payload. Design of such the control system requires disturbance model input to the gondola. However, there is no dynamics model of the disturbance although some studies analyzed the structure model of the typical balloon systems. This study aims to establish a dynamics model of the disturbance on the balloon system and succeeded in measuring the attitude motions of some parts in a balloon system. This presentation reports the flight data analysis and evaluates a simple structural model of the balloon flight system.
