Abstract

In order to assist education in machine drawing, we have been developing the system which generates the 3-dimensional model reflecting mistakes in the projection. In this study, the functions to handle two views as well as three views were implemented to the system. The number and the kind of views in the projection provided as an image file were determined by examing the existence of view areas along the each of the row and the column directions. In the case of two views, another view omitted in the provided projection was supplemented under the assumption that the geometry is composed of the edges which have equal length on the 3-dimensional space and one projection plane in the third angle projection method, and the 3-dimentional model was generated. It was demonstrated that the 3-dimensional models reflected the contents of mistakes in the drawing were successfully generated from either two or three views projection.
