Abstract

Synchrotron X-ray imaging experiments were carried out on BL28B2 of SPring-8 as a demonstration of 3D printer evaluation. The 3D printer was fused deposition modeling type and the material was PLA resin. The pixel size of the detector was 5.2 μm. For operand observation, X-rays in the energy band around 80 keV were used. It was possible to observe the inside of a brass nozzle with exposure time of 1 ms and frame rate 33 fps. For CT observation, 25 keV X-ray was used. Voids in the resin were observed.
