Control of flow around a car door mirror model was performed by using a string-type plasma actuator (PA) at Re = 2.7×104 in a wind tunnel. Velocity distributions and static pressures of 16 locations on the model surface are analyzed by particle image velocimetry and pressure scanner, respectively. It is found that pressures coefficients of the back surface tend to decrease since low speed region has been close to the backside surface of the model because of the flow control. Control effects of the string-type PA on the flow separation around the model have been significant in the cases that the string-type PA operated in the range of 0.4 ≤ fm+ ≤ 0.62 with a duty ratio from 20 to 40 %.
