Displacement distributions in front of fatigue crack tip were analyzed by digital image correlation (DIC) for a pure titanium film. Then, strains, εxx, εyy, εxy, calculated from the displacements were examined. The strain in the crack opening direction, εyy , indicates high value in front of crack tip. Shear strain in the various directions, γξη , was evaluated from the strains, εxx, εyy, εxy. As a result, the shear strain obtained for the angle, θ=30 degree was large, while the crack propagated to the direction of θ=20 degree after cyclic fatigue. It seems that the fatigue crack propagates along the slip plane with cleavage fracture for the pure titanium.
