Understanding effect of a table tennis rubber thickness on the ball rebound performance is important for product design. In this study, Finite Element Analysis was carried out to model oblique impact of a table tennis ball on various shaped rubbers. The non-linear characteristics were applied for these rubber models to consider large deformation behavior. From the contact force and the angular impulse, the factors on rebound coefficient, angle, and rotation were revealed. Longer pimple achieved smaller rebound angle and larger rebound rotation. Even though the component of negative angular impulse for longer pimple was smaller than that of shorter, the absolute value of net angular impulse for the longer pimple was larger, as the shorter pimple has positive angular impulse at the end of contact.
