In order to predict the development and decay of typhoons tropical cyclones and harricanes, it is important to investigate the mechanism of the momentum transfer across air-sea interface under strong wind speeds. However, the measurement of the air-sea of momentum flax is very difficult at strong wind speeds because the wave breaking and splash droplets strongly affect. In this study, we considered the measurement method of the momentum transfer using the new momentum budget method at strong wind speeds in the wind wave tank of Kyushu University. The wind speed ranges from 1.38 m/s to 25.42 m/s. In the new momemtum budget method, we calculated the ffriction velocity of air using four water gauges. The relation between the friction velocity and the wind speed showed the tendency similar to the previous study. Concequently, we succeeded in measureing the air-water momemtum flux by the new momentum budget method with only water level mesurements.
