This study numerically investigates aerodynamic characteristics under the longitudinal gust with a sinusoidal change. The effect of the gust amplitude was examined. As a result, the large amplitude gust provides a large variation in lift and drag coefficients. On the other hand, the gust amplitude has less impact on the phase of the lift and drag variation. It was found that the amplitude also affected the periodicity of the pitching moment. The flow observation suggested that the pitching moment change was related to the reattachment of shear layers detached at the leading edge.
