Abstract

Design and manufacturing are the main activities in manufacturing industry. In order to develop and continue the cycle of providing value to society and generating profits, it is important to reflect the customer's perspective in design and manufacturing, such as management strategy, market research, sales, and service. Furthermore, for the sustainable development of regional industries, it is necessary to educate and train designers with advanced technical and planning skills, as well as a broad perspective beyond their specialized fields. In this presentation, I will report regarding on-site utilization of mechanical engineering to enhance value-added manufacturing processes and its feedback to education.
