Abstract

Many things are still unknown or not fully understood, and therein lies the attraction of the biomechanical field. Strength of materials is as relevant to living organisms as to physiology and biosolid mechanics, and mechanical engineers are making contributions to the understanding of cell biology, physiology, as well as to the establishment of medical, rehabilitation, and genetic engineering. In this paper, from the point of view of strength of materials, the application to implant fracture, implant-bone interface, and to the det ermination of contact pressure distribution for knee osteotomy were introduced. Mechanics plays an important role in the development of the robotic surgery and new medical techniques in future.
