Abstract

This study deals with the influence which the degree of devotion of the driver using the steering assistance system has on manual steering after the system stop. In this experiment, the course which imitated the highway by the driving simulator. The driver is run using the steering assistance system. The system stops after that and the driver makes a lane change. In this analysis we compared the driver vehavior in this case with the case where the system is not used. Consequently, the driver regained the feeling of steering promptly after the system stop, and vehicles did not depart from a lane. However, the driver behavior is better after the system stop when the degree of devotion to driving of the driver at the time of system operation is high.
