Loading and Layout Planning for Cell Production

Abstract

As consumer's needs are diversified in this decade, production systems are required to change from mass-production to agile production. Cellular Production System is proposed in order to change to agile production. The proposed system can be following a fluctuation of demand in the market, but it is difficult to make a reasonable layout and to plan a production schedule dynamically. Therefore, in this paper, an operation of Cellular Production System is analyzed, a planning method for Cellular Production System is proposed, and the scheduling result with simulation is reported.
