Abstract
The present paper deals with a thermoelastic problem of a piezoceramic circular plate of crystal class 6mm symmetry, when a relaxation time is taken into account in the temperature field. One boundary surface of the plate is exposed to an ambient temperature distribution, whereas the other boundary surface is kept at the initial temperature. An exact solution to the temperature field is obtained by means of the Laplace transform technique. The elastic and electric fields are analyzed by employing the piezothermoelastic potential function method. Numerical calculations have been carried out for a cadmium selenide plate, and numerical results are illustrated graphically.
