Abstract
In recent years, the automotive engines have been developed to achieve high output and high rotational speed. The load and operating temperature on the engine bearing have increased due to the improvement of the combustion system and so on. As a result, the phenomenon which the interference of the bearing decrease during operation is becoming remarkable. In this study, as for the examination of the steel used as a bearing backing, the results of a creep test were evaluated. In S20C and S45C considerable material, the strain was measured by the creep test machine under the conditions of the temperature range of 250-350℃ and the load range of 330-532MPa. Moreover, the performances in the general condition were predicted by applying regression analysis to the results.
