Abstract
Boiling feature a super-water-repellent surface with contact angle of 152° has been studied. The stable film boiling occurs in very small superheating and there is no nucleate boiling region. The bubbles generated on the surface coalesce into a vapor film without departing from the surface. The stable vapor film exists without heating even in subcooling of 0,5 and 10 K.
