Abstract

In our previous paper, the authors reported that loosening was not occurred in the bolt nut joints with higher accuracy of the tolerance at the engaged screw threads from our loosening experiments in which M20 screw threads were used, In addition, it was demonstrated that the loosening was not easily occurred in the bolted joints in the which nuts with flanges were used. Thus, in the present paper, for verification of the loosening sources experiments were performed to measure the nut radial deformations and the friction coefficients by using the nuts mentioned above. As a result, it was confirmed that an amount of the loosening was decreased as the nut radial deformation was decreased.
