Abstract
This paper presents a numerical simulation for longitudinal guidance of an autonomous aircraft using only a rudder. If an aircraft is miniaturized, a navigation system and control surfaces have potential to be insufficient. In this case, a controllability of aircraft decreases. Therefore, a stability of aircraft should be improved. And an aircraft is known as nonlinear, nonholonomic and under actuated system. Generally this kind of system is more difficult to be controlled compared to systems which have full set of control surfaces. This study proposes a guidance method which solves inverse problems by input-output relation to decide patternized input and shows numerically this method is effective for guidance of an aircraft.
