Abstract
A simplified numerical simulation model to evaluate the generated acceleration value on an occupant at accidental collision is presented. Preceding study has been focused mainly on the behavior of human body seated fore faced. Addition to these studies, this study focuses on the behavior of the human body seated back faced. A series of numerical simulation is carried out with simplified 2D model of both.a human body and a seat, changing the stiffness of seat belt and connecting stiffness between a seat and a vehicle body. Finally, a possibility to evaluate the maximum acceleration value by the simulation results is shown.
