Abstract
So far we developed a new type of laser imager with a wide field of view of 10mm in width. The rotating flat mirror supported by a ball bearing scanned the very fine spot of laser beam in the horizontal direction. However the images observed by such laser imager had some imagejitter because of vibration caused by the ball bearing. In this paper, we investigated the reasons why the imagejitter occurred and improved it by changing the ball bearing into the self-acting air bearing.
