Abstract
We are developing the product design and the evaluation support system that evaluates the product from a multi viewpoint of procurement, manufacturing, and the environment by using BOM (Bill of Materials) of the product. We propose that the following functions be necessary for achieving such a system. (1) The system can generally input and output BOM that becomes a design plan from CAD and PDM. (2) The system can be connected with two or more tools that evaluate BOM. (3) The system can share the evaluation result with the relating section, and supports the improvement of BOM. The system that developed was applied to the design work of Information Instruments, and we confirmed the effect of the system.
