3307 Vacuum Heating Test of CMC Thermal Protection Panel under High-temperature Condition and Thermo-elastic Analysis Evaluation

Abstract

High-temperature heating tests of CMC thermal protection system (TPS) panel were carried out by using the vacuum heating test equipment with the infrared lamp, and the temperature and displacement of the panel were measured at several points. The transient values of temperature, displacement and stress were calculated by using FEM with taking into account cavity radiation and the nonlinear stress-strain relation of the material. Calculated values by FEM indicate relatively good agreement with the experimental results.
