Abstract
Energy and environmental crisis are increasingly severe in the 21st century. One of the solutions of these issues is wave energy conversion. Several systems which convert from the wave energy to the electricity are suggested, the Backward Bent Duct Buoy (BBDB) is said that it has a huge potential for improvement of its efficiency. Though some researchers tried to make clear the characteristics of BBDB, some problems such as relationship between wave induced motion and power generation efficiency are unsettled. In the present paper, the experimental results associated with these problems are reviewed.
