1640 Propagation characteristics of compression wave in a long slab-tracked tunnel

Abstract

Field measurements were performed in a 10km slab-tracked tunnel to investigate the waveform deformation of the compression wave generated by train entry during its propagation through the tunnel. From the results, it is confirmed that the maximum pressure gradient of the wave at the long tunnel exit, which is proportional to the micro-pressure wave, depend on the detailed waveform as well as the maximum pressure gradient of the wave at the entrance of the tunnel.
