Abstract
In recent years, exhaust gas emission out of automobile road has been a problem. Exhaust gas diffusion from an opening of a depressed road is estimated quantitatively in terms of breathing model. In order to grasp the detailed phenomena, the authors investigated the flow of the pollutant, which spreads from the opening of a depressed road, by means of three-dimensional numerical analysis. This simulation system includes a sliding mesh algorithm in order to represent the movement of vehicles. Typical results of large car and small car passage showed that intake and exhaust from the depressed road occur by every vehicle passage, while the large car caused stronger effect.
