Abstract
The purpose of this research work is to develop MAV (micro air vehicle) based on Dragonfly's flying motion. At first, the flying motions of Dragonfly not only free flight but hovering are recorded by high speed motion camera and the movements of wings are analyzed. Then, the wing mechanism combining the links and gears based on the results of the analysis are developed. We are successful in develop two types of light weight MAV of 5.9g and it is confirmed that the wing motion of both MAVs are very similar to that of Dragonfly.
