Abstract
The stability analysis of disk brake system for squeal reduction is investigated. Two types of simple analytical models are proposed in this paper. One consists of a disk and two pads. The other consists of a disk, pads and pistons. The coupled equations of disk brake system are derived, the complex eigenvalue analyses are performed based on this equation. Numerical simulations are performed for the parameters such as spring constant, friction coefficient, contacting condition and so on.
