Abstract
This study investigated the behaviors of the knee joint under static loading using finite element simulations. Two kinds of models were prepared which were produced the upstanding and flexion postures. The models were applied to 10 and 300N respectively. In the result of analysis using flextion model, the high maximum principal stress concentration was observed around the patella ligament compared with the upstanding one. In medial collateral ligament removed, the stress values at lateral ligament was higher than the intact condition.
